What We Do

From Field Observation to Better Decisions

BeeNova works with partners to observe pollinators and their environments, document change over time, and turn field evidence into practical decisions. Our approach connects verification, longitudinal intelligence, community programs, and education.

Four distinct roles

BeeNova leads field stewardship, observation, evidence, and verification. GENOVA™ organizes field records into longitudinal intelligence. ALVEA™ develops regenerative experiences, product-to-market pathways, and honey sommelier and hive health education. The Keepers™ provides practical beekeeping and stewardship education.

Site-Specific · Evidence-Based

Field Observation & Verification

Working alongside landholders and local partners, we develop observation plans suited to each site — its scale, its context, and the questions that matter most. Findings are recorded systematically so that what has been seen, checked, and noted is clear and retrievable over time.

Beekeepers contribute knowledge that comes from returning to the same colonies and places over time. We work with local participants to decide what to observe, how to record it, and how to interpret the record in its local context.

BeeNova Verified™ is a framework for documented evidence and review within a defined scope. A course, program, person, hive, site, or product is not automatically verified.

Observation Records · Pattern Over Time

GENOVA™

Longitudinal Intelligence

GENOVA organizes observations across sites and over time to help reveal what has changed, what remains consistent, and where more information is needed. It connects field records with relevant local and global data, while recognizing the knowledge contributed by beekeepers and local communities. This growing record supports better-informed decisions.

Place-Based · Participation

ALVEA™

Regenerative Experiences & Market Pathways

ALVEA brings regeneration into lived experience and economic value. It develops physical, place-based experiences that connect people with regenerative landscapes, the producers who care for them, and their products. ALVEA also helps producers prepare products for market through positioning, storytelling, education, and market development. Its educational offerings include honey sommelier practice and hive health.

04

Accessible Learning · Readiness

The Keepers™

Practical Education

The Keepers provides practical beekeeping and stewardship education for people preparing to begin and experienced beekeepers continuing to learn. From children's books and curriculum to adult education and community, it connects readiness, local practice, and knowledge-sharing, with learning shaped by regional conditions.

Current offerings include introductory and intermediate beekeeping, hive health, and regional field practice. Additional courses — including advanced and Master Beekeeping pathways and intergenerational learning — are in development.

Learning through The Keepers and BeeNova Verified are separate pathways.

How We Work

A Straightforward Process

1

Understand the site

We start by getting to know the place — its conditions, its context, and what the landholder or partner is trying to understand or achieve.

2

Observe and document

Observations are made systematically and recorded clearly, so there is a reliable account of what was seen and when.

3

Review the evidence

Records are reviewed over time to identify what is consistent, what has changed, and where the picture needs more information.

4

Share what it means

Findings are communicated in plain language, focused on what is actually useful for the people making decisions about the site.
